Today, I finally went to the annual West Indian American Carnival over on Eastern Parkway. I’ve been wanting to check it out ever since I moved to New York, but for one reason or another have never made it. So Will and I walked over there earlier this afternoon. It looked promising at first, with sparkly floats and savory food stalls. As we headed south, though, it got more and more crowded and hot, and we started to lose patience with it. We had some okay cod fritters and some spicy but unappealingly fatty jerk pork and decided to call it a day. I got a few good shots, though, so click on the booty to check out our journey:
