So we did it! We dragged ourselves out of bed at 6 a.m., met up with our crew at South Street Seaport at 7:30 a.m., and spent the next 13 hours circumnavigating the city (and dodging crabby cyclists). We had hoped to make better time, but the our lunch hour, a detour in Fairway, and many, many stops to dress people’s blisters (Will and I were lucky to escape that fate) slowed us down a little. But it was a gorgeous day and we weren’t in any hurry, so it was all good. Nine of us made the entire trek, and several others joined and dropped off at various points on the route.
