Southcoasting gave a shout out to John Hartford last week, and I’d like to offer a hearty “hear, hear.” Here’s a Hartford song that came up on shuffle while I was driving recently and gave me a smile. I got it about five years ago from a former roommate who had incredible musical taste. I really liked him, but I don’t think he ever quite forgave me for the time I came home drunk at four in the morning and started blasting “Baker Street.” (Sorry about that, Matt.)

John Hartford: “Don’t Leave Your Records in the Sun”

Gerry Rafferty: “Baker Street”
