I just received the following email, which has made me very happy:
I hereby authorize you to leak one (1) song from the non-mastered Thunderegg Weatherhead sessions. But you have to say it’s not mastered yet.
Sincerely,
Winkleton P. Throttlebottom, Esq.
Thunderegg Legal Counsel
So here you go, lucky kids: click it!
(Oh, and Jon, I know you’ll bust me for putting up another downbeat song; I tried to put up a faster number but that was vetoed by The Talent. But this one is pretty great.)

We couldn’t allow you to post that other song yet. It’s going to be Thunderegg’s big summer radio hit.

Mmm-hm. As Mr. Weatherhead said, always listen to the girlfriend.

Is it down beat? I didn’t notice. Well, at least it makes me smile, so what do I know?
Of course, us die hard long-time Thunderegg fans have loved this song since we were all of knee-high in short trousers!! It is indeed a classic. This is quite an epic mix, which sounds quite shocking after having knnown the original. I’m going to play it again right now…

It’s pretty melancholy. But also just pretty.
I wonder if the legal team would let me put up the original four-track version as a comparison (it’s also very pretty in its lo-fi way).

Yeah, okay, you can post the four-track version too.
yours in legality,
